Story Constellations: A Narrative Approach to Contextualizing Teachers’ Knowledge of School Reform

Learning from Reciprocal Peer Observation: A collaborative self-study

Engaging in a self-study is a multi-faceted activity that involves not only autobiography and theory, but also students and colleagues. Learning from and with colleagues can take many forms. This article discusses the authors' experience with reciprocal classroom observation in a teacher education context. Peer observation supported our learning about our own teaching by providing suggestions for change and mutual reassurance.

Balancing Acts: Negotiating authenticity and authority in shared reflection

Making Space for the Imagination: Observations for tutors engaged in self-study

The imagination is seen as “opening up to possibility,” where the student is taking a step into the unknown. Fitting the Methodology with the Research: An exploration of narrative, self-study and auto-ethnography

Collaborative Action Research and Project Work: Promising Practices for Developing Collaborative Inquiry among Early Childhood Preservice Teachers

A case study of two preservice teachers demonstrated a new approach for merging research and practice in an early childhood education course. Teachers observed a change in the way they participated and developed as teachers. Those changes included the awareness of the need to share responsibility, reflection in action, and documentation of teacher thinking, teacher practice and children's learning.
