Changes over Time in Faculty Attitudes, Confidence, and Understanding as Related to Program Assessment
In this article, the authors explore the long-term impact of workshop series on faculty participants’ attitudes, confidence, and understanding as related to program assessment. Data were collected from surveys administered at three points in time. The findings reveal that the positive impact of ongoing, focused professional development in program assessment on faculty understanding, confidence, and attitudes related to program assessment can be sustained and even improved over time.

Training Teachers to Use Pivotal Response Training With Children With Autism: Coaching as a Critical Component
This investigation examined the efficacy of a 6-hour group workshop plus individual coaching for training 20 teachers to use PRT. Results indicate that the workshop alone was only effective in training 15% of the teachers to meet mastery criteria for PRT. The majority of teachers, however, showed additional improvement following individual coaching.

This article reports on a study which sought to understand the experience of teachers who have responsibility for leading professional learning in their schools. The first part of the article describes the Leading Professional Learning program designed by Monash University. The program aimed to build teachers’ capacity to lead professional learning within their school settings. The second part of the article analyses the cases written by program participants. The analysis reveals important facets of the relational and emotional dimensions of leading professional learning in schools.

Artefacts and Utilization Schemes in Mathematics Teacher Education: Place Value in Early Childhood Education
The purpose of this study is to report on tasks given in a four-session workshop for 27 prospective pre-primary and primary school teachers in Italy. In this workshop, the use of artefacts in learning place value in base ten was tackled, within a suitable theoretical framework. Different sessions of the workshop are analysed, focusing on tasks related to different components of mathematics knowledge for teaching.
