This paper examines the interconnection between a queer teacher educator and a lesbian preservice teacher in Australia as they work collaboratively to break the discursive silence of queerness in teacher education. The queer teacher educator, who is the author of this article, and a lesbian preservice teacher framed their research methodology and used Queer life narrative model. The article is a call for dialogue about ways for queer teacher educators to support queer preservice teachers, who often must navigate their queer identities in both the university and K–12 environment concurrently.

Themes in the Research on Preservice Teachers’ Views of Cultural Diversity: Implications for Researching Millennial Preservice Teachers
This paper traces themes found in the research on preservice teachers’ views of cultural diversity. The article seeks to draw insights that inform education researchers interested in interrogating and unpacking views about diversity expressed by today’s millennial college students. Findings suggest that although recent studies report a shift toward more positive attitudes about teaching culturally diverse students, persistent issues plague preservice teachers’ understanding of cultural diversity.

Can Service Learning Reinforce Social and Cultural Bias? Exploring a Popular Model of Family Involvement for Early Childhood Teacher Candidates
In this study, 21 early childhood teacher certification candidates engaged in service learning experience with families living in deep poverty. 16 candidates appeared to confront their own biases and construct practical theories of poverty that were more complex than their original concepts. However, five candidates appeared to avoid confronting their own biases. More research is needed to examine the relationship between candidates' understanding of social relationships and their approach to service learning experiences.

Drawn from a larger study examining the experiences of lesbian teachers working in high schools across New South Wales (NSW), Australia, this article examines the ways in which interpersonal anti-lesbian harassment marginalises lesbian teachers. Although anti-lesbian harassment can silence individuals, this paper illustrates that it also serves to catalyse the active embodiment and expression of sexual subjectivity.

In thinking through an 'after-queer', the authors identify and seek to account for particular habits of thought that are often associated with queer research in education and queer research about young people. The authors trace certain traditions that frame queer research and consider the proper subjects, aims, and locations of such research projects. The authors contend that these habits of thought require further interrogation because they are intrinsic to researchers' visions of their own research and to the constitution of fields of research in the broader research imagination.

This article pursues issues of pedagogy, place and queer phenomenology in the context of what might be meant by the term 'after-queer' or 'what falls outside queer' as we currently theorise, practice and locate queer. This article investigates how bodies become oriented within and around the field of a television series that centres Indigenous terms and orientations and thereby, still further, problematises the directions and orientations of desire. The article explores the narrative and queer and other couplings of an Australian tele-series.

This article examined the teachers' mental models, regarding minds and learning of young children from different culture backgrounds in Israel. 18 preschool teachers from classes consisting of 5 to 6 year olds were examined, as well as children from Ethiopian families. The study discovered a metacategory that did not exist in the original model: Culture.
