The authors highlight the importance of the cognitive-emotional and personal-professional aspects of teacher educators' lives in supporting their learning through the combination of peer observation and ongoing professional learning conversations.

The article suggests that, alongside other significant developments, the knowledge economy has had two significant effects on education governance in Europe: first, a rapid change of policy discourse and practice, moving from constructing a European ‘culture’ to a Europe of learning governed by numbers; and second, education is slowly moving from the margins of European governance to the very centre of its policy making.

Experiencing and Evidencing Learning Through Self-study: New Ways of Working with Mentors and Trainees in a Training School Partnership
The study uses self-study to analyze the development of a mentoring program, during initial teacher mentoring, in a training-school or university partnership. It focuses on the ontological values of the co-authors as they collaborate. The authors use a video to record teaching, and assist mentors and teachers foster the help necessary to improve the relations between the teachers and the mentors.

If we are to fully understand and adequately respond to the multicultural question in European education, it is necessary to develop rich empirical descriptions and theoretically rigorous explanations of policy processes and effects. For example, we need to be able to characterise and explain the differentiated ways in which education policies and practices do or do not recognise, support or undermine diverse cultural identities and do or do not reproduce various kinds of educational and social inequality.

Reconstructing Dominant Paradigms of Teacher Education: Possibilities for pedagogical transformation in Fiji
The article examines the variant educational models that are being implemented in Fiji. The author explores the historical factors that contributed to that educational approach. The study finds that despite the mechanistic practice and local culture of teacher education in Fiji, there are indications that point to future possibilities and hope, but that dominant techno-rational, and individual cultures of practice need to be developed by a socially localized program for teacher education.
